Arthur Lee "Cookie The Mechanic" Johnson

ARTHUR LEE JOHNSON, affectionately known as "Cookie," by family and friends, was born to the late Melvina and Willie J. Johnson, Sr. on June 3, 1957, in Buffalo, New York.  He was the youngest of 5 children and was preceded in death by his brothers Willie J. Johnson, Jr. and Melvin Johnson, Sr.

Arthur attended Buffalo Public Schools. Later in life, he went on to be a mechanic, which was his passion in life.  His second passion was racing cars.  

After a brief illness Arthur departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 12:15 am at Erie County Medical Center.

Loving memories are cherished by his sisters: Mary Ruth Greene and Essie Mae Johnson, both of Union, South Carolina, two sisters-in-law: Darlene Singletary Johnson and Brenda Rigby Johnson, both of Buffalo, New York; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special lifelong friends.

Family will receive friends Saturday, July 8, 2017, 12 noon at Brian K. Lewis Funeral Home, 2528 Bailey Ave. Funeral to follow at 1pm.
