Cheryl Hendrix Giddens Obituary

CHERYL J. HENDRIX GIDDENS, third born child of five to the late Deacon Eugene and Thelma Hendrix, was born May 13, 1959 in Buffalo, New York. Cheryl transitioned this life to Heavenly reward on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 3:58pm in the comforts of her home and loving family at the age of 58.

Cheryl was born and raised in a God-fearing home. At an early age, she became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church through confession of Christ and Baptism under the tuledge and pastorage of the late Rev. T.C. Watson on June 6, 1971. She rededicated her life to Christ in 2011. Love’s Angel lead Cheryl in Holy Matrimony to unite with  Frederick Giddens on June 17, 2003.

Twenty-plus years in the healthcare field is where fervently, Cheryl toiled and made a living. She had a heart for people everywhere. Affectionately known as “Nana,” Cheryl was angelic in nature. This was demonstrated by the many children who gravitated to her for her love; she personally cared for many.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her love and memories three children, Damon (Keri) Hendrix, Johnathan (Brittany) Hendrix and Donesha Woods; three sisters, Jeanie Hendrix, Donna (Morris) Thompson and Sandra (Bernard) Jackson; one brother, Lambert (Charlene) Hendrix; eight grandchildren, two aunts, Geneva Huggins of Tuscaloosa, AL and Cheri Brown of Buffalo, NY and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves a special friend and neighbor, Raina Harris and other loving family and friends.
