Cleveland Daniels Obituary

CLEVELAND DANIELS (Dad) was born January 11, 1932 in Pikesville, North Carolina to Zachrie & Maude Daniels.  He was one of five children.  After a short time of being ill, he departed this life peacefully and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Cleveland was a hard worker throughout his life.  In 1957, he left the south and moved to Buffalo, New York. 

On December 14, 1957 he united in holy matrimony to Lois J. Ezzell and out of this union, two children were conceived: Denise L. Daniels and Tracey J. Harris.  In 1962 he began his job at General Motors.  In 1984 his job at General Motors moved him to Defiance, Ohio where he retired in 1989.

He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age in his life.  In 2001, he became a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  He was a faithful church member, until he became ill in 2018.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being a member of the Buffalo Antique Classic Car Club and going to McDonalds, a.k.a., "Work every morning."

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois J. Daniels, oldest daughter Denise L. Daniels; sisters: Marie Daniels, Eloise Daniels, Ethel Daniels; one brother: Leslie Daniels; nephews: Michael Smith, Sr., and Michael Smith, Jr.

Cleveland leaves to cherish his loving memories one daughter: Tracey J. Harris; three grandchildren: Christopher Oates, Lakisha (Dana, Sr.) Smith, Tashema Oates; three great grandchildren: Autumnly Oates, Dana Smith Jr. and Laheim Crouch, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

Family will receive friends Friday, March 30, 2018 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1184 Genesee Street, Buffalo, New York.  Funeral to follow at 12 pm. Interment will be held St. Matthews Cemetery
