Welcome to the memorial page for

Clifford Jerome Tillmon

July 5, 2016

CLIFFORD JEROME TILLMON  was born December 15, 1950 in Buffalo, New York.  Clifford was the second of seven children born to Tommie Lee and Juanita Chestnut Tillmon.

As a youth, Clifford attended Buffalo Public Schools #41, Clinton Junior High School (PS #87), and East High School.  Never did Clifford stop educating himself, keeping abreast of world news, and politics.  He could not be without CNN news.  He furthered his education by taking college classes where he excelled, proudly making the Dean's List.

Clifford also wrote an article regarding injustice in the justice system, which appeared in the editorial section of the Buffalo News.

Clifford was passionate about all sports, but especially watching Serena Williams' Tennis matches and becoming highly emotional when she was not playing well.  Clifford was also very proud of his younger brother, Quincy, keeping a journal and pictures of his football career.

Clifford was employed by several companies in Buffalo, including Republic steel, Chevrolet and United Parcel Services.

Clifford was united in Holy Matrimony to Bonnie Sue, who preceded him in death.  While we all knew he had a mean streak, those who truly knew him could attest to his compassionate heart.  Clifford was very meticulous with anything he put his hands to.  He was self-proclaimed philosopher, impeccable dresser and exceptional intellectual.

At age of 65 Clifford retired from this life to his new beginnings.  Although there remain unanswered questions, Clifford himself, is now at peace.

He leaves his memory, Mother Juanita Chestnut Tillmon; Children: Clifford & Casey Jones; 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren; Siblings: Patricia Tillmon Dabney, Shirley Tillmon, Derrick Tillmon, Lisa Tillmon-Walker, Tommie Tillmon, Quincy (araanna) Tillmon, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins & friends.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 13, 2016 11:00 am at Brian K. Lewis Funeral Home, 2528 Bailey Ave., Buffalo, NY .  Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
