DEBORAH POMPEY, affectionately called Debbie, as born June 17, 1963 in  Ashbury Park, New Jersey. She relocated to Buffalo, New York where her parents, Rose and Anthony Williams, raised Debbie and her six siblings. At an early age, Debbie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Debbie was educated in the Buffalo Public School system attending Schools #62, Genesee Humboldt and graduated from South Park  High School. She also attended various culinary schools.

Having the passion of the Culinary Arts, Debbie ventured on journeys with numerous restaurants until finding her work family at T.G.I. Friday’s, where she was a Chef for more than 20 years. 

Debbie was an avid bowler and was a member of various bowling leagues for 30 years. She enjoyed sewing and loved cooking for art presentations.

On Monday, November 20, 2017, at age 54, Deborah received the greatest grace of eternal peace and was called home from this life into the open arms of the Creator.

 Deborah’s full-time commitment was to her family, with whom her legacy and hard work will continue on within the hearts of her only son, Edward A. Hardy; grandchildren, Daja and DaJon Hardy; parents, Rose and Anthony Williams; three brothers, Carlton, Gino (Dalia), and Lance (Kim); one sister, Gina (Frank), nieces and nephews, Rosie, Bianca, Carmen, Austin, Allysa, Jerard, Taya, Fats and Donnie. She also leaves to mourn a host of cousins, other loving family and friends.

Debbie is preceded in death by her siblings, Douglas and Tony; and grandmother, Carmen Reevey.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 11am at Providence Memorial Chapel, 1275 Sycamore St.
