Geneva Jackson

GENEVA JACKSON, affectionately called "Momma," departed this life Saturday, January 14, 2017, in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.

Geneva was born to the late Roy and Della Hardy of Anderson, SC.  Later in life, Geneva married the late Samuel Jackson, a WWII veteran.  Geneva briefly worked at the Byrd Eyes Factory, but was a dedicated house wife, a strong woman who absolutely loved to cook for her family and friends.  She also was a babysitter for not only family, but friends as well.  This allowed them to continue with their education or employment.

Momma was a Facebook social butterfly and if you took a picture of her, she would tell you to put it on Facebook and would love to hear the many wonderful comments.

She leaves to mourn one daughter, Julia Rogers; three sons, Larry (Rosemary) Jackson, Samuel Jackson and Clarence (Brendalynn) Jackson; one sister, Ethel Galloway of Anderson, SC; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Geneva is preceded in death by one daughter, Samella Jackson; one son, Roy Jackson and one grandchild, Deria Jackson.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 20, 2017, 11am at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 165 Doat St. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
