GEORGIA M. TRUSS was born Georgia Marie Scott to George Scott and Laura Mae Cunningham on May 20, 1929 in Wilsonville, Alabama. She graduated from Westside High School.
After moving to Buffalo, New York, Georgia accepted Christ as her personal savior. She was a faithful member at Walls Memorial AME Zion church where she served on the deaconess board.
Georgia Truss was employed with Buffalo Children's Hospital before she began her career at the Veteran's Hospital. She served dutifully as a charge nurse for many years before retiring. After retirement, she worked part-time at the YMCA. In her leisure, Georgia enjoyed bowling. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her two granddaughters: Michelle and Carlissa.
Georgia Truss was truly blessed! She lived to see 88 years on this earth. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother (Clarence). She leaves to Cherish her memory: 4 sons, Anthony (Deborah), Curtis, Michael (Ellisha) and Kerry (Grace). 1 brother Willie, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 6, 2018, 11 am at Walls Memorial AME Zion, 455 Glenwood Ave. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
