Mary Meadows was on duty with Dr. Oliver Steiner at Deaconess hospital New Years Eve 1968 when my 3rd child was born. She was handed the brand new baby and exclaimed “Joyce, she is beautiful!” She was the first to see her. On the eve of Holly’s 50th Birthday I was thinking of Mary and found this memorial page. I am so sorry that I did not know of her passing and remember a long standing friendship and travel together with her sister Evelyn and friend Emily Ruff. I remember when she was the first black women to graduate from that nursing school. We met in our college years and when she was first married lived in the flat below us at 1408 Michigan Ave. To the family: You were blessed to have such a marvelous mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Dear family of Ms Meadows, I am very sorry for your loss of a loved one. God's Word provides comfort and hope during times like this. My family and I have found comforting the words found at John 5:28,29. Jehovah promises to use his Son to resurrect our loved ones from death. Please accept my condolences at this difficult time.
