PERCELL BLACK was born September 6, 1958 to Willie B. Black and Eddie Patton in Birmingham, AL. He was brought up attending church and was baptized at an early age. He relocated to Buffalo, NY in 1969 where he attended school #75, Clinton Junior High and graduated from Clinton High School.
Percell was a very fun loving, charismatic, humorous individual with his own unique sense of style. He was affectionately known to everyone who knew his as "Black".
Later in life, he received his right-hand of fellowship at True Bethel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, Willie B. Black; father, Eddie Patton; brothers, John Rencher, Leonard Black, Robert Charles, and Joe Black; and sister, Patricia Sumpter all of Birmingham, Alabama, and also a grandson, JaWaan Black of Buffalo, NY.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Geneva Joyner Black; sisters, Shirley Foy, Ruby Mack, Patricia Gurley, of Birmingham, Alabama, Lorena Richey of Pensacola, Florida; Brothers, Roderick and John Black (wife Wendy), of Buffalo, NY; Sisters Alethia Grier of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cynthia Allen of Buffalo, NY; Five granddaughters, Manicia, Olivia, Oshea, Osha and Oniya, all of Buffalo, NY. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and a special friend, Robin Worthy of 30 plus years.
Although he passed on, he will never forgotten or duplicated.
