Shellie M Hawkins

SHELLIE M. HAWKINS, was born on November 2, 1950 in Buffalo, New York to the late Mary and Vester Hawkins.  God called her to come on home on February 13, 2018 at the Buffalo General Hospital.  As a young child, Shelly attended Buffalo General Hospital.  As a young child, Shelly attended Buffalo Public Schools and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1968. She started working at Millard Fillmore Hospital as a Dietary Aide and later became the Cafeteria Supervisor where she worked for over 25 years.

She preceded in death by her parents Mary and Vester Hawkins, two brothers Lannie and Dwight Hawkins.

Shelly is survived by her only son Michael Jones (Margarita), one grandson Jordan Michael Jones, one granddaughter Gabrielle Griffin, one brother Drango Hawkins four nieces Sonja Hawkins, Ivy Nicole Hawkins, Tiffany Hawkins, Mary Hawkins, two nephews Drango Hawkins Jr. (Tamika), Dwight Hawkins Jr., a very special aunt Theresa Hawkins, and a host of uncles, aunts, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11am. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.

Interment will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York
