STANSON JETER, affectionately known as "Booster," was born September 1, 1930 in Union, South Carolina to the late Minnie Jeter and Owen Thompson. He departed this life April 18, 2017 in Atlanta, GA surrounded by his loving family.

Stanson served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He relocated to Buffalo, NY in 1960. He later met and married Reva Fisher. To this union, three children were born: Verrita, Stanley and Tyrone. He worked at Chevrolet Motors Foundry Plant, retiring after 25 years.

Stanson was a loving family man. He enjoyed playing cards, playing games on his iPad, watching Dancing with the Stars and sports, and having a "little taste" now and then. He also had a humorous spirit. 

Stanson is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Reva Jeter; sons, Ronnie Thomas and Tommy L. Lewis; brother, Rev. Curtis Jeter and sister, Mary Frances (Jeter) Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Verrita (Kim) Williams, Darlena Broadway and Glenda Jackson; sons, Stanley J. Jeter and Tyrone D. Jeter, Sr; grandchildren, Danielle (Joel) Jackson, Damien Edwards, Alesia Conner, Tyler Wade, Dayshur Jeter, Devin Jeter and Tyrone D. Jeter, Jr, Cally Elliott, Eric McIlwain, Jr, Anthony Jackson and Jamar Jackson; favorite nieces, Arlene Neely, Minnie L. Clemons, Cynthia A. (Silva) Umukoro,  and Cynthia M. (Raymond) Jones; "favorite" nephews, Nathaniel (Sheila) Ingram andDavid P. (Levone) Jeter Sr and a host of other loving family and friends.

Family will receive friends Saturday, April 29, 2017, 11am at St. John Baptist Church, 184 Goodell St. Funeral to follow at 12 noon. Interment held at St. Matthew's Cemetery-W. Seneca, NY
