Welcome to the memorial page for

Wendell Ford

November 17, 2016

WENDELL "RICK" FORD was born on February 14, 1956 in Chicago, IL to the late Cleveland Ford, Sr and Geraldine Askew Ford.  Wendell accepted the Lord as his Savior and was baptized in 2008.  God in His infinite wisdom called Wendell Ford from labor to reward on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Battle Creek, MI.

He was educated in the Buffalo Public School System and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp.  After being honorably discharged, he was gainfully employed by Tonawanda Valve Corporation, from where he retired.  Wendell was very caring and resourceful.  He loved to help others especially in the area of auto mechanics.

The memories we have of Wendell Ford will always be dear to our hearts.  He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Sonya Ford; one sister, Erma D. Ecford (the late Lorenzo); five brothers, William, Cleveland Jr, Montgomery (Traci), Crosby (Quandra) and Kevin (Ellan) Ford; two grandchildren, Javon and Willie Wise III; a beloved companion, Wanda Towns and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11am at Soul Saving Revival Center, 664 Fillmore Ave.
