Xavier DeMario Thomas

XAVIER DEMARIO THOMAS, was born on July 22, 1975.  He was affectionately known as "Yodi" by family and friends.

Yodi confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Willie Turner.

Yodi graduated from Seneca Vocational High School.  Furthering his education he also attended Trocaire College for 2 years.

Yodi was employed by Mary Agnes Manor Adult Care where Yodi work for 18 years as an Administrator until his health would not allow him to work.

Yodi loved to be around family and friends.  He loved bowling, playing cards and bingo.

On September 27, 2017, after a long illness at Buffalo General Hospital God whispered in Yodi's ear, "Come and rest with me my child!"

Yodi was preceded in death by his grandparents: Willis and Sally Winston; aunt, Yvonne Armprester; uncle, Eddie U. Thomas; cousins: Marylyn Armprester, Nedira Thomas and Dravin Armprester.

Yodi leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Brenda Thomas; brother Eddie Calhoun; 2 uncles: Steven (Sonya) Winston and Willis Winston Jr.; special cousins: John Wesley Armprester and Mark Tracy Thomas; 2 special aunts: Ann Pryor and Marie Turner; a very special friend, Deborah McDermott; and a host of other aunts, family and friends.

Yodi has a very special relationship with his aunt Sonya Winston.

 Family will receives friends Saturday, October 7, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 130 Northland Ave., Buffalo, New York 14208.  Funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.
