Zaleka "Z" Asher

ZALEKA ASHER, affectionately called "Z," 39, was born March 17, 1978 to the late Joycelyn Crowley and Zoe P. Asher Sr., in Almeda, California.  She went on to glory on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Buffalo, New York.

Zaleka was a proud mother of six boys.  Her life was dedicated to her raising her children and keeping them active in football.  Due to her diligence, they won many trophies and awards.  Although she was a great cook she was jokingly known as the "take out food queen".  Zaleka was a multifaceted woman.  She  had a great sense of fashion and could just about wear any hairstyle and color.  Zaleka had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh (that would make you laugh too).  She was also a loyal daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend.  But most important of all, an even better mother.  She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  Six sons Laquante Asher Sr., Charles Franklin Jr., Jevon Wynn Jr., Jaleel Brannon, Harlem Brannon and Nature Brannon all of Buffalo, New York.  She also leaves 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Timothy Crowley Sr., Zoe Asher Jr., Yvette Crowley Huff and Coral Patterson

Family will receive friends Saturday, September 9, 2017 11:00 am at Greater Works Christian Fellowship, 210 Southampton Street, Buffalo, New York 14208.  Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
