Zion A. Halsey

ZION A. HALSEY was called into this world on July 15, 2005.  He departed this life June 20, 2016.

Zion was a member of Soul Saving Revival Center all of his life and gave his life to the Lord in 2015.  He was a member of the Crown Choral Group.  Zion loved to swim, take out the dogs, look after his mother and brother, and his partner in crime, Zymir Halsey.  His passion was drawing his favorite comic book characters and had become adept in freehand drawing.

Zion leaves to mourn his brief yet memory filled life his loving mother, Chanelle Halsey (Shaheed); his brother who looked up to him, Ziare Halsey; his father, Terrance Amerson; great-great grandmother, Mary Owens of Edenton, NC; great-grandmother, Rosa Halsey of Brooklyn, NY; grandparents, George & Jeanine Halsey of Lackawanna, NY and Arlette Thrist of Buffalo, NY; uncle & aunt, John & Beverly Gordon of Erie, PA; uncle and second father, Michael Saunders; uncles, Gregory (Shawn) Saunder of Lackawanna, NY, Joseph Halsey of Brooklyn, NY, Swight Halsey (Paula) of Rosedale, NY, Edward (Erica) Halsey of Brooklyn, NY, Sean King of Long Beach, NY, and George W. Halsey IV of Buffalo, NY; aunts,  Deborah Halsey (Lee) of Rosedale, NY, Marjorie (Ron) Bennett of Brooklyn, NY, Vanessa Halsey of Baltimore, MD, Pamela Parker of Virginia Beach, VA, Tiffany Mitchell of Erie, PA, Sheena Gordon of Charlotte, NC, Chelsea Gordon of Erie, PA, Candice J. Halsey of Buffalo, NY and Courtnie C. Halsey of Lackawanna, NY, along with a host of cousins and other relatives and his close cousins, Christian, London and Zymir and special Aunt, Zham Wells.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 25, 2016, 11am at Soul Saving Revival Center, 664 Fillmore Ave.  Funeral to follow at 12 noon.  Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery- Hamburg, NY.
