ADELAIDA EVA DANZI DOYLE was born on October 7, 1922 in Havana, Cuba to the late Leonty Danzie and Maria Cooper Danzie. On Sunday, December 16, 2018, Eva Danzie Doyle transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home.
Adelaida (Eva) attended Merici Academy an all girls Catholic school in Havana and she attended Havana Music school for Classical piano, for a short period of time. She was fluent in Spanish, French and English. She loved to swim and often swam thru Havana’s tunnels. To escape the revolution in Cuba, she came to the United States. She flew for the very first time from Havana to Miami, in which she resided for a short period of time. She then moved to New London, Connecticut, thereafter and worked as a Master Seamstress.
Mommy was raised catholic and then became a born again Christian in the early 1970’s. She was Vice President of “Doyle Enterprises,” the family’s business. She was married for 63 years to the late Benjamin Doyle Sr, a Navy veteran. Together, they raised nine children in Benjamin’s home town of Buffalo New York.
Eva leaves to cherish her memory eight loving children, Eva Farmer (Barry) Benjamin Doyle, Jr., Cynthia Doyle, Linda Jackson (Lee) Ricardo Doyle, Gay Doyle, Glenn Doyle, and Candy Doyle Troung-Lawson (Dinh); one brother, Antonio Danzie; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, loving family from Cuba, St. Lucia to Norway and the United States.
Eva is preceded in death by her youngest son, Carlos Doyle, who transitioned home August 9, 2018; one sister, Santa Maria (Dolores) Danzie Watkins and two brothers, Nilo Danzie and Arsenio Danzie.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018, 11am at Providence Memorial Chapels, 1275 Sycamore St. Funeral to follow at 12 noon. Interment at St. Matthew's Cemetery-W. Seneca, NY.
