Welcome to the memorial page for

Beatrice Williams

December 27, 2017

BEATRICE WILLIAMS, while surrounded by her family transitioned peacefully to her eternal heavenly home on December 27, 2017 while in Hospice Care at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

Beatrice Williams was born February 2, 1926 in Yazoo City, MS to Richard and Addie Holland Hill, Sr.

Beatrice was united in holy matrimony as a teenager to the late Reverend A.C. Williams.  They enjoyed 52 blissful years of marriage.  Beatrice and her husband moved from Mississippi to Chicago, IL later relocating to Buffalo, NY.  Their family grew to 14 children along the way.  Raising her children and two nieces, Addie Mae Carter and the late Velma Hale, was one of Beatrice's greatest accomplishments.  She always had room in her heart  along with an open door for numerous neighborhood adults as well as children whom she clothed, groomed and fed warm meals countless of times.  She was affectionately called "Momma" by all.

Beatrice worked for the Catholic Diocese as a cook.  She was known for southern style foods--the best collard greens and cabbage, sweet potato pies and peach cobbler, etc.  Beatrice taught her children the importance of having a solid foundation in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as Lord at an early age.  She continued her walk of faith as a member of Antioch Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop James H. Bowman, Sr.

Beatrice is survived by her beloved children, Corinne (Henry) Anderson (Jackson, MS), Allen C. Williams (Buffalo, NY), Danny (Michelle) Williams (Buffalo, NY), Diane Crawley (Owings Mills, MD),  Lamont T. Williams (Buffalo, NY), Patrice (Paul) Mangerian (Williamsville, NY), Denise Harper (Buffalo, NY), Jawwaad Abdur Rashee (Rome, NY), Darlene (David) Ford (Cantonsville, MD), Kenny J. Gadley (Buffalo, NY), Bonnie (Anthony) Cox (Amherst, NY); forty-one grandchildren; sixty-three great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews as well as a very special friend, Bertha Hannes.  Family will receive friends Friday 11:oo a.m., January 5, 2018 at Mt.
