Charlotte A. Adams

On December 24, 2017, the Angel of Silence came into Charlotte’s room and with chilly fingers sealed her lips after a long illness.

She was born on May 8, 1948. Charlotte was the youngest of 5 children of Aurelia and Willie Adams. She was educated in the Buffalo Public Schools.

She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and later united with the Calvary Baptist Church under the leaderships of Rev. Troy A. Bronner, Rev. David A. Keaton and Rev. Quinton Chad Foster. She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church, of the Calvary Adult Choir, Vacation Bible School, and Sunday School where she served faithfully until her health failed.

She worked several jobs and the last one was at Roswell. She worked there a little more than 10 years when she was hurt and had to retire. She was an advid bowler where she had an average of 201 before she had to give it up.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Aurelia Adams; father, Willie Adams; Brothers: Baby Boy Adams, Danny L. Adams, Robert L. Adams.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her legacy 2 children: daughter, Sonya Adams of Atlanta, GA and son, De’Mario Washington of Buffalo, NY; sister, Aurelia Stevens of Buffalo, NY; three grandsons: Anthony Watkins of Atlanta, GA, DeMario, Jr. and Dallion Washington who she loving called her Bink Bankes babies of Buffalo, NY; two great grandsons: Isaiah and Chase Watkins of Atlanta, GA; goddaughters: Shirley Crawley and Dae’Aera Diggs of Buffalo, NY; 3 nephews, 6 nieces and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. 

Family will receive friends Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1184 Genesee Street, Buffalo, New York. Funeral to follow at 11:00 am.  Interment at St. Matthew's Cemetery.
