Chloe Cunningham-Goodrum Obituary

Charles Cunningham Jr. who later became Chloe Cunningham-Goodrum was born Monday, June 15, 1964 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Charles and Veradine (Goodrum) Cunningham Sr.  Chloe entered a peaceful and eternal rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Chloe attended Open Door Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized in 1997.  Under the leadership of Pastor Aaron Hudson Sr.  No matter what she faced she held on to her faith.  Her favorite song was Amazing Grace.

Chloe grew up in the Ellicott Mall housing and was educated in the public school system.  She graduated from Kensington High School where she joined the dance and drama clubs.  It was the beginning of her evolving into her true self.

Chloe was known for MANY things: sewing, dancing, cooking, singing, and having captivating eyes that changed colors to describe her personality.  She also enjoyed music, video games, telling jokes and ribbing with people and on people.  What Chloe enjoyed most in life was spending time with family and friends and assisting in the lives of her sisters, nieces and nephews.

Chloe worked in the health field for many years until her job ending injury in 1990.

Chloe's passion for people made her a loving and devoted person.  She gave her best to countless individuals.

She organized many fundraisers where she would perform to raise money for children with AIDS, women and children in violence, the homeless and more.  She volunteered at churches, community centers and soup kitchens for the homeless.  She often opened her home, heart, and wallet to anyone who needed it and she enjoyed life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her sister Rita Cunningham.  She leaves to cherish in her memory ten sisters: Kimberly, LaVera, Jimeen, Dana, Danielle, Charlene, Camille, Laquieta, Martinque and Keyonna; two brothers: Edward and Lawrence; twenty-nine nieces and nephews; thirteen great-nieces and nephews; a very special cousin and best friend, Markita and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
