David Lias Obituary

DAVID T. LIAS , 54 of Buffalo, New York was born on July 21, 1965 when the book of life was opened to the proud parents of the late Mr. Jacob Lias Sr. and Mrs. Nancy M. Lias.

At an early age, with his parents David was baptized and later baptized again, at Pilgrim Baptist Church by Rev. Frank Bostic in 2017.  He received his formal education at Public School #31 and continued at South Park High School, where he excelled and exceeded in academic recognition in high honors and athletic dominance.  David was a superb basketball player receiving numerous championships and trophies.  His athleticism and unique skills with B-Ball was highly recognized and he was named All Athletic.  He participated in his neighborhood basketball tournament known as the Randy Smith League, where he gained the name "Mad Dog Lias".  He received an abundant amount of academic and athletic scholarships, where he briefly attended Kansas University in Lawrence, KS.
