DELORES E. MOORE was born on October 11, 1946 in Memphis, TN to the late Willie and Mary Martin; She was one of thirteen children in their loving family.
After attending school in Memphis, Delores became the wife of Mr. Frederick L. Moore. Together the couple relocated and made their home in Buffalo, New York. They were blessed with two sons, Frederick L. Jr, who preceded Delores in passing, and Dejason E.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Delores worked outside the home. Before retiring, she was employed with the Buffalo Board of Education for over thirty years as a Teacher's Aide with most of her career spent at Buffalo Public School #12.
Delores was a member of Thankful Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Tommie L. Babbs where she found her calling to service on the Usher Board. In her leisure time, Delores enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing spades.
Delores' precious memories lives on in the hearts of her husband, Frederick L. Moore, Sr; her son, Dejason E. Moore (Katrina); grandchildren, Maria Moore, Angelisia Moore and Tejohn Moore; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Alston Jr., Mariah Rolling and Brandie Rolling; her sister, Willie Jean Harston; her brother, Jesse Jerome Stewart; many nieces, nephews and cousins; a host of dear friends and her church family.
Family will receive friends Monday, April 30, 2018, 11am at Thankful Baptist Church, 197 Sumner Place. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
