It’s been a year since you left us. My heart still hurts but I know you’re in a better place. I will spend the day reflecting on the good times we had instead of focusing on your death. You lived a wonderful and blessed life! I love you so much dad and miss you dearly.

To the Brooks family, I offer my heartfelt sympathies. Losing a loved one in death is a crushing blow that leaves our hearts broken and scarred. During such grievous times, Psalms 147:3 assures us God "heals the brokenhearted" and "binds up their wounds". May you find healing in the hopeful words He has promised at John 5:28, 29.

Dad.....my heart is broken because you left me. If I can have another day with you, I would tell you how much I love you and how much you meant to me! I know you’re free from suffering and I know you’re in a much better place. I can’t express how much I’m hurting right now but I know with God and the love & support from my family and friends...I know I can endure! I love you daddy and until we meet again....so this is see you later, not a goodbye!

Condolences to your family. One may think we will all be forced to confront death sooner or later. Its painful sting has caused many people to search for answers.
