EDDIE A FLOOD SR was born August 31, 1945 to Virgil D. Flood, Sr. and Annie L. Flood in Auburn, AL. Eddie Sr's life of service began after he graduated from East High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force for a short tour of duty.

After Eddie Sr completed his tour of duty with the United States Air Force, he married Regina D. Perry. Their union produced two children: Lisa D. and Eddie A. Flood, Jr. In 1981, Eddie Sr. married Ann J. White. Together, the couple raised their two daughters: Latisha A. Flood and Sabrina Y. Fontenot.

Eddie Sr.'s professional career began as an electrical apprentice under the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Eddie, Sr. expanded his skillset with formal training in construction. In addition to construction, Eddie Sr. worked 23 years at the GM Powertrain Plant in Tonawanda, NY before his retirement.

Eddie, Sr enjoyed cycling, jogging, bodybuilding and spending time at Myrtle Beach. Eddie Sr was an avid jazz connoisseur. He will be remembered fondly for his character, sense of humor, compassion, integrity, love and his sensitivity to the needs of others.

Eddie A. Flood, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil D. and Annie L. Flood and brother, Virgil D. Flood, Jr.

Celebrating and honoring the life of Eddie A. Flood, Sr. is his loving wife, Ann J. Flood; children, Lisa D. Addo of Rock Hill, SC, Eddie A. (Charmion A.) Flood, Latisha A. Flood of Buffalo, NY and Sabrina Y. Fontenot of Latham, NY; grandchildren, Jacqueline Jemison, Erin Ashley and Danya A. Flood; great-grandson, Donovan L. Berry; his only sister, Diana Flood of Buffalo, NY; niece, Kimberly L. Stone of Charlotte, NC; one uncle, Johnny Brown of Cleveland, OH; aunts, Annie Harvey and Mattie Borom of Cleveland, OH, Virginia Flood of Carson, CA, Francine Flood and Barbara Flood of Washington, D.C. and Eliza Mae Flood of Battle Creek, MI. He also leaves a host of cousins, extended family and friends that he loved dearly.

Family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2018, 10am at Forest Lawn Chapel, 1411 Delaware Ave. Funeral to follow at 11am.
