Elisha Shuford, Jr

ELISHA SHUFORD, JR., son of the late Louise Cody Shuford and Elisha Shuford, Sr., was born November 1, 1959 in Buffalo, New York. Elisha fought a good fight and received  the greatest grace of eternal peace; on Monday, July 16, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Elisha was called home from this life into the open arms of the Creator.

Elisha graduated from Burgard High School. After graduation, Elisha was gainfully employed by American Axle for 17 years. Elisha was a family man, sports enthusiast, and a Boston running card player.

Elisha will be truly missed by his devoted wife, Sheila Coleman Shuford of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Porsha R. Shuford of Buffalo, NY and Tyler S. Blackmon of Charlotte, NC; his twin sister, Elaine Shuford Lewis of Buffalo, NY; three sisters, Denise Harris (Percy) of Crawfordville, FL, Lorraine V. Shuford of Buffalo, NY, and Latasha Lemon-Wright of Charlotte, NC; brother, Benjamin Gayle of Buffalo, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Family will receive friends Monday, July 23, 2018, 11am at Providence Memorial Chapel, 1275 Sycamore St. Funeral to follow at 12 noon. Interment held at Ridgelawn Cemetery- Cheektowaga, NY.
