Gary Damone Hooser, his journey began on June 9, 1993. His beloved parents are Carmen Hooser and Winnie McCutcheon Jr. Young Gary began his Christian education at True Bethel Baptist Church and in his Hamlin neighborhood, Our Savior Lutheran Church. As in many families, Gary attended church services with his grandmother Leta, and great-grandmother and Usher Missionary, Mrs. James, at Walls Memorial AMEZ. The scripture he loves most is the 23rd Psalm, "The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want..."
He received his formal education from the Buffalo Public and Charter School System. Later he chose the field of construction as his career; receiving certificates and on-site training. Gary also had the opportunity to work in the removing of the fixture from the historic Lafayette Hotel. Gary was proud to have been a part of that historical work. Through Gary's life, he was a true sportsman in summer camps, tennis, soccer and later participated in and excelled in the Pop Warner Little League Football as well as Baseball.
Gary returned to Buffalo, NY to be closer to his family, friends and new opportunities. Gary has a zest for life, he recognized the humanity in everyone and was an optimist. Once returning home his saying was "I Love My Life" and he met no strangers.
Suddenly the trumpet sounds, Sunday, September 21, 2014, transitioning and moving Gary towards his eternal life.
