Johnny Hall, Sr. Obituary

JOHNNY HALL, SR. was born on May 11, 1931 to the late James Hall and Hazel Scott in Live Oak, Florida. On Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Veteran's Hospital, Johnny entered into a peaceful and eternal rest.

Johnny was educated in the Suwannee County School System and attended Douglas High School where he graduated in 1948.

In 1950, Johnny relocated to Buffalo, New York and shortly after joined the Army. A few years later, he received an honorable discharge. Soon after, he became employed by Republic Steel Corp in Lackawanna, NY. In 1955, Johnny married Lorene and to this union six children were born. Johnny united with St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Burnie McCarley.

Johnny also had a number of hobbies which include photography, traveling, spending time outdoors in the country, taking road trips with his family and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by son, Johnny Hall, Jr and one granddaughter, Shauna Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Beauford Hall, Joseph Hall and Jule Hall; five daughters, Vivian Hall, Andrea Hall, Sandra Hall, Tracey Hall and Maxine Scott; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and longtime partner, Luedelia Grant and a host of other loving family and friends. 

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 11:00 am at Providence Memorial Chapel, 1275 Sycamore St. Buffalo, New York.  Funeral to follow at 12 p.m. Interment will be held Forest Lawn Cemetery.
