Joyce M. Muhammad

JOYCE M. MUHAMMAD, 78 years old, passed away after a long illness on May 30, 2017.  She was born on December 1, 1938 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Carrie (Stephenson) and Patrick Price, Sr. 

She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1957.  She later attended Lillian Doyle Beauty School and she also graduated from Niagara University with a degree in Sociology.  She was a seamstress, loved cooking and traveling.  She was a member of Muhammad's Mosque #23 under the Nation of Islam.  She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Stars, Queen of Sheba Chapter and a member of the NAACP.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carrie B. Price of Buffalo, NY and Faaedaa Muhammad-Adams (Jeffrey) of Niagara Falls, NY; two brothers Jimmie Price (Dorothy) and Rev. Joseph Jones; two sister-in-laws, Maggie L. Price and Mary Ann Price; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She is predeceased by her son Jamil Jackson.

Family will receive friends 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Mt. Erie Baptist Church, 1152 Fairfield Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14305.  Funeral to Follow at 12 noon.

Interment Service Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
