Marie Holmon

MARIE HOLMON, of Buffalo, New York answered the Lord's call from labor to reward on January 3, 2018 after a lengthy illness.  She had lived to the blessed age of 57 years old.

Born on February 2, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA, Marie was one of three children of the late Jenny Clark and the late Esker Eddings.  Marie's family relocated to Buffalo, NY when she was an infant.  Marie joined Calvary Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Reverend Peter Trammell.

Marie was educated in the Buffalo Public School District.  She attended P.S. #31, P.S. #75, Clinton Junior High and received her high school diploma at East High School.

Over the course of her employment career, Marie help multiple positions with several companies in Buffalo, New York including Homecare agencies, Food Service Companies and area hospitals.

In 1998, Marie joined City Temple Baptist Church under the late Reverend Dr. Ernest Williams, Jr. where she served in the choir.  Marie continued her church growth at True Bethel Full Gospel church under the pastorate of Bishop Darius Pridgen.  She remained a member until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Terri Clark.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband Alvin Holmon; four children, Markeysha, Rashawn, Fantasia and Tanisha Clark; two grandchildren, Juba and Amani Marie; sister, Deborah (Frank) Dennis; two paternal sisters and two paternal brothers; one aunt, Gloria (Jerome) Williams of Troy, MI; five sisters-in-law; Ann, Carol, Carolyn, Delores and Beverly all of Buffalo, New York; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie and Gary both of Buffalo, New York; one great-aunt, Sadie Donelson of Pittsburgh, PA; special niece, Sharday, who shares Marie's birth date; childhood best friends, Lynnette Dixon and Bernetha Washington as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Family will receive friends 10:00 am Saturday, January 13, 2018 at True Bethel Baptist Church, 907 E. Ferry Street.  Funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
