Anikia Marie Cromwell-Brown “Nikki” was born on May 2, 1972, to the late Angela Bolden Richerson and Mark E. Cromwell
Sr. She was affectionately known as Nikki to family and friends.
Anikia grew up among family and friends in Buffalo NY and most recently lived in
Rock Hill SC. Anikia attended public schools in Buffalo NY where she gained many
lifelong friends. After graduating Seneca high school, Anikia earned her degree from

The joy in Anikia's life was her daughter Aniya. She was a devoted mother who
enjoyed spending time with her daughter, who she was most proud of and loved dearly.
On July 22, 2025, Anikia said goodbye to this earthly world at Atrium Pineville
Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter Aniya Sanders, father Mark, Sr. (Nora),
stepfather Thomas, sister Ghittonia (Toni), brother Mark Jr., brother in love Rodrick
(Chaatel) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
Anikia was preceded in this life by her paternal and maternal grandparents,
sister Marlo West, great niece Taliyah and her brother-in-law Oliver Rue.
“God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, He put His arms around her
and whispered, “Come to me.”
