Bernard R. Ashley

Bernard Rickey Ashley was born on February 19, 1947, to John D. Ashley and Rosinna Robinson Ashley, second youngest child of eight children and survived by one child Brett Kyle Ashley.

Bernard attended Buffalo Public Schools. He entered the United Staes Marine Corps on April 8, 1964. After being severely wounded in the Vietnam War he was HONARABLY DISCHARGED on May 31, 1967 as a highly decorated soldier receiving the PURPLE HEART, GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, ARMED FORCES EXPEDITION MEDAL, and the VIETNAM MARKSMAN QUALIFICATION BADGE.

Bernard was also an accomplished Sportsman fishing on his boat or canoe and hunting for big and small game using his rifles or bow and arrow.

Surviving Siblings: Patricia E. Ashley, Sylvia A. Ashley (Ronald) Thomas and Roberta J. Ashley (Roger) Williams.

Deceased Siblings: Dolores M. Ashley (Donald) Crawford, John D. Ashley Jr., Beverly M. Ashley Rhone, Earlie M. Ashley.
