Byron Lamont Lane, 62, of Buffalo, New York, peacefully departed this life on October 23, 2024.

Born on July 28, 1962, in Buffalo, NY to Herman Lane and Audrey Lane, Byron was the eldest of seven children. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend who touched many lives with his presence.

Byron received his education at Burgard High School, graduating in 1980. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the military from 1980 to 1986, receiving an honorable discharge for his service.

A dedicated father, Byron took great pride in his daughter, Abrenda Rookard. In 1998, he found companionship with his longtime girlfriend Grace, who remained by his side.

Throughout his career, Byron worked in various roles that allowed him to serve his community. He was a cab driver for Cold Spring Taxi, a truck driver for Quikrete, and served as a security guard. He also contributed his skills at his brother's business, My Way Motors.

Byron had a zest for life and enjoyed simple pleasures. He could often be found at the casino, watching wrestling matches, or pursuing his passion for fine automobiles and jewelry.

- His longtime girlfriend: Grace Fulgham

- His siblings: Myron Lane, Cassandra Lane, Pansey Lane, Marvena Lane, Valerie Hood &  Joyce Williams

- His many loving nieces and nephews
