Cassandra Sanders Obituary

Cassandra Lee Sanders was born on August 14th, 1951 to the late Ellis William Sanders Sr and the late St. Christine Lang. Cassandra departed this life on June 3rd, 2024 at Buffalo General Hospital. Cassandra attended Buffalo Public School 74, and later graduated from South Park High School. Cassandra also attended and graduated from Peter Piccolo Hair school as a licensed cosmetologist. She worked alongside her mother St. Christine Lang, owner, and proprietor of Miquie’s House of Beauty. Cassandra also attended Erie Community College for some time majoring in general studies.

Cassandra was a lifelong faithful member of the United House of Prayer for All People. Cassandra served in many capacities during her years as a devoted member. Cassandra was anointed with the title of Saint by presiding Bishop Precious Daddy McCullough. She was President of the Youth Department and served as President of the Number 1 Ushers. Cassandra was a long time and honorary member of the McCullough Caravans of Buffalo, NY as well as a member of the Bailey 12 also of Buffalo, NY. Cassandra inherited the privilege of being head decorator and organizer for The United House of Prayer’s Baptismal services. Cassandra was a committed member of the United House of Prayer food service staff. She also served as an Usher at the House of Prayer located in Matthews North Carolina.  In early years Cassandra served as a seamstress for the United House of Prayers Convocation display committee. She loved her United House of Prayer family in Buffalo, NY, Washington DC, Charlotte and across the House of Prayer kingdom. Cassandra enjoyed traveling with the House of Prayer and fellowshipping with her sisters and brothers of the gospel. Cassandra is and will always be a member of her crew, her team The Willing Workers, which was what she was. Cassandra was always willing and ready to work a work for the Lord and demanded all that she encountered to do the same.

Cassandra was a great teacher, mentor, and advisor to many. She has touched so many lives with her love for serving God. Cassandra also enjoyed spending valuable time with her children and family. Cassandra has always been known to be a prayer warrior in and to her family. Cassandra’s display of strength and resiliency will always resonate in the hearts and minds of those who genuinely loved and knew her best. Cassandra commited time, unconditional love, and pure guidance to her beloved children. Not only did she teach them to survive she taught them how to live. She taught them how to live a life they could be happy with, a life that God would bless and smile upon. The formula she has given her children would be one full of love, kindness, compassion, and togetherness, which will carry them for the times ahead.
