Courtney Barnes Obituary

  COURTNEY J. BARNES, 45 of Buffalo, New York was born to Stephanie Morrell George (Late Richard George) and Joseph (Pat) Barnes on October 10, 1974.  The Lord called her home on February 20, 2020.  She attended St. Ann's Church and was baptized.  She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1995.  Folowing High School she pursed a job in the nursing field, which soon became her career of choice.  She worked taking great care of clients who loved her.  She worked at Health Force as a C.N.A with a recent promotion as field supervisor,  She was a generous person always, willing to help ot family and friends in need no matter what, even the clothes of her back.  She loved life and always had a beautiful smile.  She loved to cook on the grill, even taking some classes ro broaden her cooking skills at Erie Community College.  She loved to journal poems, short stories, songs, also enjoying singing and dancing.  To know Courtney was to have love Courtney she was full of smiles and would want everyone to celebrate her life by singing and dancing.

  She will be missed by he daughters Landyn Nakia Sharee Robinson (Koran), Armani Nicole Blackwell, and her son Nacari Eugene Barnes, who she uniquely named.  Her only grand child Kayne Kadeem Goss, whom she loved dearly.  Greatly missed by her mother Stephanie George and Joseph Barnes.  Aunts and uncles, Norma (Johnny) Tarver, Edith (John) Nelson, Albert Barnes, Ella Goree, Nettie Barnes, Jacqueline (Bobby) Brice, Carolyn (Bernard) Byrd, Angela (Dwight) Wilcox, James (Fatima) Morrell, Shareen (Samuel) Williams-Morrell.  Great-Aunt Carol (Carl) Carter.  Her siblings Michelle (Darion), Rodney, Roz, Ricky, Aries (Ariel), Leah, Sarah, and Micah.  Her best friends of over 30 years Boonkie, Valerie Lanier Anesha Brown-Archie, Tiffany Townsend, and Keisha Brown.  A hostof cousins, friends, aunts and uncles.  She preceded in death Grandmother Yvonne Morrell, Cousins Nakia and Nyea, and Uncle Harvey Barnes.

Family will receives friends on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 11:00 a.m. at At. Columba-Bridgid RC, 75 Hickory Street, Buffalo, New York 14204.  Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
