Gilbert Bobb

GILBERT BOBB, 73 years old, the son of the late Ola Mae and Walter Bobb of America, Georgia was born on June 30, 1947 and departed on Sunday, July 26, 2020. 

Gilbert relocated to Buffalo, New York as a teenager and worked several jobs.  He later worked at Clinton Market as a truck unloader.

He accepted Christ in 1973 and later ordained as an Elder at the True Church of God in Christ.  There he taught Sunday School, Bible Study and also preached the Word of God in the church and also on the streets of Buffalo, New York.  He was known to always talk a lot especially about repentance and accepting Christ as your personal Savior to everyone he came in contact with.  To everyone he was known as "Brother Bobb."

He could go on and on talking about the word of God.  He also love to cook baked macaroni and cheese which was his specialty.

Gilbert Bobb was united in Holy Matrimony in February 1988 to the love of his life Mary Cosby and together they had two children.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ola Mae and Walter Bobb; three brothers: Leon Bobb, Bobby Lee Bobb and Carl Kinder, all of America, Georgia.

Gilbert leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Mary Bobb; one daughter Lydia Marie Bobb; one son Matthew Bobb and his loving granddaughter Angel Bobb, all of Buffalo, New York; four brothers: Curtiss Smith of Kansas, Randolph Kinder, Elmer Kinder and Alvin Kinder all of America, Georgia; mother-in-law Mother Sarah Cosby; four brother-in-laws; seven sister-in-law;  seven sister-in-laws; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will be receiving friends at 11:00 am Friday, July, 31, 2020 at Providence Memorial Chapel, 1275 Sycamore Street, Buffalo, New York 14211.  Funeral to follow at 12 noon.

In compliance with the public health guidelines during the Covid-19 Pandemic, visitation will be monitored to limit gathering sizes based on the most current recommendations and a mask must be worn at all times.
