CHERISHING THE MEMEORY OF
JAMES E. BURNO, JR.

He liked to talk about entering the adult workforce at the age of 14 due to his large stature as a child, allowing him to pass for 18 years of age. Outside of his incredible work ethic, James cherished watching the Washington Commanders football team and also developed an affinity for the Buffalo Bills after moving to Buffalo. He was known for his friendly personality and smile, love of music and dancing, singing (when he got the words right), grilling, and spending time with loved ones. 42 years ago, he began dating the love of his life, Janice Phillips-Burno, after he snuck some lunch money into her account when they were working together at a bank. They were married in July 2002 and remained inseparable until the day the Lord called him home.

YOUR SMILE
Though your smile is gone for now,
And your hand we cannot touch,
Still we have so many memories
Of the one we loved so much.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we will never part,
God has you in his keeping
While we hold you in our hearts.
It's sad to walk this road wihtout you,
Instead of by your side,
But to all there comes a moment
When the ways of life divide.
You gave us years of happiness,
Then came the sarrow and tears,
But you left a beautiful legacy,
We will treasure throughout the years.
Love,
You friends and family
