It is with profound sorrow and great appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Rosalie Loretta Hall (née Campbell), who left us peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Rosalie was a beloved wife, mother, sibling, and friend whose unwavering love, kindness, and wisdom touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on June 12, 1938, Rosalie spent her life creating lasting memories with family, friends, and a community that will forever feel the warmth of her presence. She approached every day with infectious enthusiasm, an open heart, and a commitment to living with purpose.
Throughout her life, Rosalie was a dedicated caretaker who consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving the world around her. Whether through personal anecdotes of accomplishments, kindness, hobbies, or acts of service, Rosalie left an indelible mark on all who encountered her.
Rosalie is survived by her sons, Leon A. Hall III (Fella), Lavern L. Hall (Vern), and Lawrence L. Hall (Ray), and was predeceased by her son, Antoine M. Hall (Tony), and husband, Leon A. Hall Jr. She is also survived by her siblings, Velma Campbell and Bertha Campbell, and was predeceased by Annabelle Smothers, Myrtle Demps, Herbert Campbell Jr., and Brenda Campbell. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who all cherished her presence in their lives. Her legacy of love, generosity, and resilience will live on in the stories, lessons, and values shared by those who loved her.
While Rosalie may no longer be with us in body, the spirit of her life will continue to inspire and guide all who were lucky enough to have known her. Rest in peace, Rosalie, and thank you for showing us all how to live a life filled with love, purpose, and joy. Amen!
