With heavy hearts but grateful spirits, we announce that Shabrina Grant, a radiant light in our lives, departed this world far too soon on June 5, 2025. She was just 28 years old A devoted mother, beloved sister, caring aunt, and faithful friend, Shabrina's life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Shabrina's greatest joy and the center of her universe was her son, Jae vion, her precious miracle child. After being told she might never have children, Jae'vion came into her life as a living answer to prayer. Born with special needs, he required extraordinary love and attention, and that's exactly what Shabrina gave him, every single day. Her devotion to her son was fierce, tender, and unshakeable. In her own words, she wanted his life to be her greatest legacy.
A proud daughter of the late Sherron Grant, Shabrina was a devoted sister to Shatica, Carlton, Carlo, Darnell, Sherron, Calvin, Tyshawn, and the late Shantina Grant, Kenneth (Kayla), Iano Grimes, Ronald Hunter, and Shanteea Brown. She was a loving and fun-hearted aunt to Brittany Hausrath, Myanna Goldsmith, Raniya De'jesus, Nyrece Richardson, Michael Murphy, Elaine, Brandon, Jayvon, Aliyah Grant, and Kay lani Grimes. Her extended family was her joy, family wasn't just important to her, it was her.
Shabrina dedicated herself to caring for others, both at home and professionally. As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Elderwood in Williamsville, she brought compassion and warmth to those in their most vulnerable moments. She served not just with her hands, but with her heart.
She had a laugh that could light up the darkest day and a sense of humor that made every family gathering unforgettable. Whether she was locked in a fierce Mortal Kombat match, playing a board game, or sharing stories over coffee, Shabrina made you feel seen, heard, and valued. Her wit was unmatched, anyone who heard her say,
"I find it funny how.." knew a hilarious or heartfelt moment was about to follow.
Her siblings recall late-night conversations about life, God and the future moments where Shabrina's deep love for her family and her abiding faith in God would shine through. Even in hard times, her hope never wavered. She loved fiercely. prayed sincerely, and gave generously.
If you asked what she wanted most in this world, she would simply say: "For Jae'vion to be loved and taken care of by those who love him most." That wish remains her greatest prayer and her lasting call to those she leaves behind.
Though our hearts ache, we find peace knowing that Shabrina's spirit lives on in every laugh shared between her sisters, in every act of kindness done in her memory, and most of all, in the bright eyes and brave heart of her son, Jae' vion.
Shabrina, your love was bold, your laughter contagious, and your faith inspiring. You left this world far too soon, but your light will never be extinguished. We will carry you in our hearts forever.
Rest in eternal peace. Shabrina
