Stan, as he was affectionately called, was born April 5 1958, to the late Willie W. Benson, Sr. and the late Bernice Booker Benson in Buffalo, NY. Stan spent his early childhood years in Western NY Children Psychiatric Center. He returned home as a teen and was homeschooling. Stan was a quick learner and passionate about everything he did. He had an extraordinary memory. This was often demonstrated in his hobbies, crocheting, latch hooking and completing puzzles.
Stan touched many lives. He loved his family very much. Stan will be missed by all. He leaves many to cherish his memory, including two devoted brothers: Bobby Ray and Tony Jerome (Yevette). Two sisters who preceded him in death, Betty Jo and JoAnne and two brothers who preceded him in death Alfred and Willie W. Jr. Dedicated nieces and nephews: Tamica, Tonya, Lawrence, Shayla, Michael, Devon, Joshua, YaVonda, Ashley, Shantel, Antonio and Bobby Ray Jr. Along with a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins.
