STEVEN K. AIKEN, Jr., 38 formerly of Buffalo, NY passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. Steven was born on January 29, 1982 in Buffalo, NY to Carrie I. Clinton and Steven K. Aiken Sr.
He graduated from Grover Cleveland High Schoolnin 2000 and went on to attend Erie Community College where he earned an Associate's degree in Applied Science and Entrepreneurship.
He accepted the Lord as his personal savior and learned how to work hard. He would often whatever job was available to support himself. He not only worked as an armed security officer for the Census Bureau, he fought for the freedom that we enjoy every day. He was awarded the Iraqi Campaign Medal and the Army Acheivement Medal for his exemplary service as a combat veteran of the War in Iraq.
He was remarkable in so many ways and lived his life to the fullest each day. He touched the lives of many people during his time with us. He was a true family man who loved them profoundly.
Looking back, he valued family above all else and was most proud of being a man that cared deeply for each of his children, cousins, friends and his coworkers. A great son, father, uncle, brother and friend. He would give theshirt off his back to anyone who was in need. Steven we will remember the standards you set; we will surely miss you. Most of all we will always remember you with respect, admiratin, love, forever, and always!
He is preceded in death by his father Steven K. Aiken Sr; Grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Aiken; Grandparents Rev. Horace & Carrie Mims; Twin daughters Savannah and Serenity Aiken.
Steven is survived by his mother Carrie I. Clinton; Grandmother Margie Mims; Two sisters Danielle King and Diane Aiken; Three children Ashanti, Trinity & Treasure Aiken; Six nieces Kiara,Talisha, Daniesha, Danasha, Janayah & Janiyah; One nephew Jevon and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. All of whom he loved and touched deeply.
Family will be receiving friends 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Brian K. Lewis Funeral Home, 2528 Bailey, Ave., Buffalo, NY 14215. Funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
