Vanessa Howton Obituary

 VANESSA A. HOWTON was the beloved daughter of Otis and Dorothy Howton of Buffalo, New York . She was the third born to Otis and Dorothy with a total of 6 brothers and sisters. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Ararat Baptist Church on Jefferson avenue in Buffalo. NY. She later joined Macedonia Baptist Church.

Vanessa attended School #31 and Fosdick-Master Park (Girls) High School. After high school Vanessa was blessed with twins Delwanda and Elwando Rowell. Vanessa was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and baby Levi is due very soon. There was never a dull moment around Vanessa, the countless family gatherings always ended with Vanessa being ready to go home early and reading someone their rights.

Vanessa enjoyed spending time with her grands and great grandchildren and her friends. In her leisure time Vanessa enjoyed listening to WUFO radio station, playing bingo, arts and crafts, playing cards, and doing her crossword puzzles.

Vanessa worked at the Goodwill, voting polls and volunteering at different food pantries.

After departing this earthly life and transitioning to eternity, Vanessa leaves to cherish;

Her son Elwando Rowell, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Five grandchildren: Elwando (Zhana) Rowell Jr., Nicholas, Noel, Amina and Diamond. Four great grandchildren Miyell, Daylon, AJ, Javeon, and soon to come baby Levi. Two sisters: Lynnette H.

Coleman and Bonita (Ricky) Smith both of Buffalo, New York. Two brothers: Otis Bell, Detroit, Michigan and Leo (Gerri) Bell, Southfield, Michigan. One Uncle Marvin Oaks and One Aunt Ethel Calhoun both of Buffalo, New York. Eight Nieces: Shawntrice, Anitra, Schereina, Keisha, Tweet, Kim, Nicole and Symone. Four Nephews: Darius, Leonte, Ricky Ir. and Tyler. Five great nephews: Darren, Jalen, Jamel, Rhydell Ir. and Saint. A host of cousins and friends

Vanessa was proceeded in death by her loving parents: Otis and Dorothy Howton, daughter Delwanda Rowell, sisters Pamela E. Ruffin and Gracie Scott, brother Jerome Howton, brother in-laws Otis Coleman and Phillip Ruffin, sister in-law Ollie Bell. beste friend Kathy Hatch. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
