James F Davis, Sr.

JAMES FRANK DAVIS, SR. son of the late Frank Davis and Maggie Foster Davis was born on Junes 22, 1948 in Chester, South Carolina.  He departed this life on April 25, 2016 in Buffalo General Medical Center.  Although he was still searching for Christ, he transitioned ever so peacefully.

James Davis was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorothy Jean Harvey in 1970 in Lackawanna, New York.  From this union came two beautiful children.

James attended East High School and was later employed by Harrison Radiator for a number of years.  In his pastime, James enjoyed watching The History Channel, Bruce Lee Movies and Sci-Fi Channel.  He also took pleasure in watching his great-grandchildren. 

James leaves to cherish his memories one son, James Davis, Jr (Yulanda); one daughter, Antoinette Davis; one stepdaughter, Tina Davis; four granddaughters, Marquita, in which he resided with, Doniqua, Shakara and Makayla; two grandsons, James Davis, III and Treyvon; five great-grandchildren, Amariona, Ari-Onna, Darius, De’Niyah and Marquis; one sister, Maggie (Rudolph) Davis-Workman and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Family will receive friends Saturday, April 30, 2016, 11am at Brian K. Lewis Funeral Home, 2528 Bailey Ave. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
