James E. Watson

JAMES E. WATSON was born July 26, 1928 in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Will and Susan Watson.   He was the youngest of nine children.

James was educated in the North Carolina School System.  Following high school, he enlisted in the United Stated Army, serving in World War II.  He relocated to Buffalo, New York upon his honorable discharge.  He became gainfully employed with Bethlehem Steel as a furnace operator for over 35 years, until retirement. 

On August 2, 1959, he was united in holy matrimony to the former Emma P. Moses.  James was a lover of jazz, gardening and sports.

The Lord called James from labor to reward on Thursday, July 14, 2016.  He is preceded in death by five brothers, Arthur, Willie, Luther, Edgar, and Albert; three sisters, Lucille, Agnes, and Katherine; and stepdaughter, Barbara Hudson (Harold).

James leaves to mourn his sweet memories his loving wife of over 50 years, Emma, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 10 am at Brian K. Lewis Funeral Home, 2528 Bailey Ave. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery- Buffalo, NY.
