Judith Ann Smith

JUDITH ANN SMITH was born June 28, 1943 in Buffalo, NY. She was called from her earthy labors on May 7, 2017.

Judith embraced the Roman Catholic religion and was baptized at the age of six.  She attended St. Mary's Shrine Church and School and continued her education at Fosdick-Masten High School, where she began bookkeeping studies. After graduating, she attended Niagara Business School, where she had the pleasure of graduating top of the class in Book-Keeping Accounting.

Judith began her employment with Van Dyke Airport and Taxi Service.  She then joined Lane Bryant as a Credit Manager over Buffalo and 3 suburban locations. After eleven years, she went to MB Management, Co. for Shoreline and Waterfront Apartments as an Administrative Receivable Accountant for 13 years. 

Judith joined Mercury Radio Communications in accounting for WGR-FM, 97 Rock; WEDG-FM, The Edge; and Oldies 104.4 FM. She then went on to M&T Bank for Auto Dealers and Manufacturers Floor Plan Operations until she retired in 2004.

Judith took joy in helping others; She dedicated her life to it. In Judith's last days, the favor she had shown was shown to her.  Judith had no biological children, but her nieces and nephews she took into as her own.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Georgena Moore; and nephew Roderick Bell.

Judith leaves to cherish her memories her brothers, Bernard Simons and Gerard Simons; nieces, Tina (Cash) Jones, Lynda, Essence, Brittany Simons, and Tres (Jay) Moore; nephews, Vaughn, Alex and Eric Simons; best friend, Lana; and a host of family and friends.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 19, 2017, 11am at Brian K Lewis Funeral Home, 2528 Bailey Ave. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.
